The school campus includes: 6 classroom blocks, Administration Block, Library and Information Technology Centre, Activities Hall, Tuckshop, Covered Games Areas, 25m Heated Swimming Pool, Outdoor covered Amphitheatre, Oval, Adventure playgrounds, Art Room, Music Room and 2 Computer Labs.
LIBRARY AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CENTRE

Completed in April 2006, the new Library and Information Technology Centre is modern, spacious, fully air conditioned & equipped with the latest in information and communication technology. The centre has over 400 visitors daily and can accommodate 4 class groups at any time.
The Library design, layout and furniture have also been carefully selected to cater for the various age groupings from Prep to Year 7.

A Computer Lab and separate Multimedia Classroom are part of the new Library. A 2nd Computer Lab is also located in a Teaching block G. Both Computer Labs contain new flat screen computers, data projectors and access to a variety of ICT devices.

Middle Phase Building
Our Year 6 and 7 classrooms are located in a purpose built Middle Phase Learning Centre containing flexible learning spaces, outdoor learning areas and state of the art Information Technology.

Prep Year Classrooms
A new Prep facility features child centred indoor activity centres and an early learning outdoor space.

SCHOOL SWIMMING LESSONS
Years 1-4 students are timetabled for two swimming lessons and Years 5-7 are timetabled for one lesson per week in Terms 1 and 4.
The Swimming Club meets every Friday night at 6.00 pm at the school pool, during terms 1 and 4.
ART ROOM
A well-equipped Art Room is used by all classes from Years 1-7 for art lessons. After school art classes are also held in the Art Room as part of Ascot’s Community Education Program.
TUCKSHOP

Tuckshop is open every day of each school term, except the last two days of the school year (Term 4). The tuckshop employs a convenor.
A complete list of menu items is published in the Ascot Digest and website each term. This list is also available from the tuckshop and school office.
PARENT ROOM
The Parent's Room is located at the lower end of the Activities Hall. It is a place for parents to get together as part of an informal group or conduct meetings. Parents can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in the Parent Room and obtain information about the school or Education Queensland from the information displays.
PLAY AREAS
Ascot State School has separate adventure playgrounds for children in Prep Year and Years 1-2 as well as three covered play areas and the school oval.

SCULPTUREGARDEN

The sculpture garden is located in a beautifully landscaped terraced section of the school. Local artists donated some of the sculptures featured here. Other sculptures were created during the annual Art Show when artists-in-residence worked with Ascot students. The artist and the school’s Parents & Citizens Association donated these sculptures. The sculpture garden also features beautiful mosaic waterfalls. These cascade down the terrace. Ascot parent and artist-in-residence Bev Ridsdill-Kenny created these mosaics over many months.

ACTIVITIES HALL

The school activities hall was constructed in 1971-72 and largely funded by the P&C and wider school community. The hall is used for many school-based activities including school assemblies, physical education lessons, the school musical,choir and band practice. It is also used for Arts Council and awards ceremonies as well as fund-raising activities such as the annual Art Show (pictured), school discos, movie nights and extra-curricular community education sessions held after school.
SOCIAL TENNIS
The Ascot State School Tennis Court is situated in Reeve Street, Clayfield. Please contact the school office to make inquiries about bookings and costs.
UNIFORM SHOP
The Uniform Shop stocks all of the uniform requirements and is right here at school. Opening times - Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 8.15 - 9.30 am during the school term. It is situated in Block A adjacent to Anthony Street.
